Cantina menu taste test pt. 3

The Cantina Chicken Bowl. Where do I start? It was exactly what I expected, since I’ve had the Power Bowl plenty of times before. The addition of the new chicken with the purple cabbage and pico did make it a bit more nuanced in taste. I added the Avocado Verde sauce to the whole bowl, and I do admit its amazing taste was drowned out with everything else. Honestly I should have just saved the sauce packet to use with something else. For an additional $1.50, I’m not too upset with the added value of this bowl compared to the Power Bowl. I am a bit upset that the Power Bowl is being replaced with this, and even though I like this bowl a lot better, the added price to an already costly item makes me not want to get it as much.

I do want to add that I do recommend this item as a standalone meal for those trying to stay on the healthier side of Taco Bell. But I do find bowls in general a bit boring compared to the tacos and burritos. Would you find a better value at Chipotle? Probably. But then again, Chipotle doesn’t come with a side of Avocado Verde sauce that says “Trust The Process” on it.
