This is happening to almost every pepper on several jalapeño plants. Always starts as a wilt toward the bottom and then turns into this. Any advice would be appreciated.

Blossom End Rot (BER) either due to overwatering or calcium deficient soil. If you’re letting your soil drain/ dry properly, try adding cal-mag to the soil.
It spilled paint in the garage.
Maybe sun damage.
Is this not a pipe lol
End rot would be my first guess, if the plant has Alot of fruits it takes up a bunch of the nutrients in the soil and if there’s not enough calcium it’s bound to happen. If not that then maybe sun scorch then rotting, which shade cloth should help fix. But I’d do like ya planned, help it get more airflow and add calcium. You can make your own calimag cheap from eggshells and vinegar. I’ve got around 750g of Calcium acetate I made that I add to each foliar spray I do with my silica and low nutrient solution, and I skip the calcium nitrate since it’s already in the feed. Seems to help keep calcium levels high and aphids to a minimum.
