Sauce

Marie Sharp’s 40th Anniversary is something special

I saw someone post about this a few weeks ago and it stuck in my head that I just had to try it. It looked like one store in Canada was the only place in North America that still had some in stock, and their website wouldn’t let me ship to the USA.

I emailed them and they graciously found a way to let me make a purchase and shipped four bottles of it that I purchased to me.

I cracked one open tonight, and wow, this is absolutely the ultimate Marie Sharp’s sauce.

It’s made from their “Red Hornet” peppers which are a variation of a Scorpion pepper, as well as special 8-year-barrel-aged habaneros.

There’s a complexity from that aging, and a ton of heat. This is thicker than any Marie Sharp’s sauce I’ve had before with a chunkier texture, and I’d say this one is actually hotter than their Red Scorpion sauce, and has much better flavor.
