Stumbled across this and their ghost on sale. I usually can't help but open up a new sauce and take a little sample. This was the first time I thought "that may have been a mistake" Heat is delayed but then comes in fast and aggressive and sticks around. I could feel it down my esophagus through the afternoon.
Just put some on my breakfast burrito. Usually I let the initial burn die down then enjoy the unique pleasure of a cup of hot black coffee following a spicy breakfast. Needed to get up and pour some ice water to bridge the gap with this one.
I spent probably half an hour trying to nail down the familiar aroma of this pepper. My daughter took one sniff and said "It smells like green olives"
