I like black label Valentina as my go-to cheap hot sauce that I have no shame in throwing on cheap food whenever.

For hot sauces that aren’t dirt cheap like Valentina, It feels kind of wasteful using them on things like frozen chicken nuggets or pizza rolls or shit like that, so having a bottle of that stuff is nice for the occasional microwave junk food, fast food, or cheap meals. And because I only eat that stuff like once or twice a week, I only need like 1 or 2 bottles that size a year.

You see I consider this Mexican food sauce. I rarely put it on anything except for tacos, burritos and the like. Hot sauce has to at least have a bit of a burn to it for me. But hey I’m weird like that.

Valentino is superior on pork rinds.

there is no ending the debate, because valentina is good for certain things and tapatio is better for others. i like both, but what id use tapatio on id never put valentina on so imo, they are 2 completely different sauces for different situations.

  5. CheebaMyBeava

both are a good way to ruin decent food

  6. MoneyBaggSosa

Definitely not a debate. Tapatio is way more flavorful

  7. Defiant-Cake-5542

In this debate, Tapatío wins. You have to put it against the black label Valentina. Then it’s a real debate. I prefer the black label Valentina over Tapatío, but they are both staple sauces

Valentina Mariscos! The blue label. You’re welcome.

  9. Illustrious-Leave406

Valentina, but you need the black label version.

  10. Shrimp_Bucket

Tapatio tastes like ass. Valentina is cheap and delicious. But I’ll always love cholula

  11. EstablishmentUsed770

It isn’t one or the other for me, it is both, along with Cholula and some of the El Yucateco sauces in terms of grocery store staple hot sauces. They all have their place.

  12. VexTheTielfling

    Black label valentina is superior.
But above all is yucateco habanero hot sauce. Of course this is only if you can’t make a salsa

  13. a_mollusk_creature

Tapatio is the king of grocery store hot sauce. Valentina and Cholula are for the weak, which is probably why most on Reddit prefer them.

  14. OoohhhBaby

It depends on what I’m using it for. I think I prefer Valentina on pinwheels or chips with lime. Tapatio for any other use

  15. urbangentlman

Black label Valentina is the only correct answer

  16. Dreadcoat

There isnt a debate. Theyre different sauces. Similar but different. Tapatio is spicier. Valentina carries a similar flavor but a bit stronger with less kick.

I want tapatio on eggs. I want valentina on chorizo and eggs.

  17. Empty-Profession-515

    Don’t spread hate,spread cholula

  18. Electrical-Coyote-93

Tapatio is so damn good on eggs

  19. jose_ole

Valentina with seafood is on point! Mexican cocktail or oysters!!

  20. GrizzliousTheOG

Throw them both in the trash and get a good hot sauce.
