This Lunchbox Orange (mini bell) refuses to keep its flowers. They pretty consistently pollinate and set fruit, then fall off a day later. I tried cutting back on the water but that didn’t help, the leaves just drooped a bunch.
They get plenty of sun, strong indirect most of the day and then about 7 hours of direct in the afternoon.
It’s been really hot this summer, averaging above 85°F every day and this week is peaking at just over 100°. I’m trying to keep the plants well-hydrated and fertilized and the foliage is fantastic, but the flowers just won’t stick around.
Is there anything I can do? Do I need to change anything about water or fertilizer? Is it just the heat?
