I make my own.. so easy.. and alot cheaper and customizable

My wife loves it.

Looks great! Have you had the Trader Joe’s chili crunch? If so how does it compare?
Totally-jag2598
IMHO it’s pretty good. I use it to spice up noodles I buy from Momofuku. Also compliments a lot of other food.
SpareCofeveCup
Momofuku is in the “I put that sh*t on everything” category.
go4drive
Lao Gan Ma chili oil is the OG, I would recommend that over momofuku. Plus momofuku tried to to trademark chili oil/crisp. Assholes.
fknarey
Oh is this the one with all the controversy

Fuck David Changs bitchass
B0BsLawBlog
I buy and use a good amount of their “tingly salt”, but usually use Fly By Jing as my preferred crisp.
Holiday_Armadillo78
I love this stuff.

This Little Goat (Stephanie Izard’s brand) does some interesting takes on this stuff. Haven’t tried them all, but the red label / spicy is awesome stuff
I tried it once from a friend who was gifted a jar. After tasting, we both shook our heads. Not good, musty flavors.
Leather_Guacamole420
Have it on toast with peanut butter 🤤
Funky_Octopus22
I avoid this with all the lawsuit controversy momofuku brought to the name.
HEYitsSPIDEY
Fuck David Chang, that’s what I think.
Arrrginine69
Wanted to like it. But it sucks

Man, I guess I’m in the minority here. I think David Chang is an idiot for trying to do what he did but it certainly helped with publicity for the item.
I thought it was fantastic. I put it on everything just to see if it works
Kub_Skan_84
I can confirm that this stuff is fantastic! Just watch out if you’re sensitive to spiciness as this stuff packs some real heat! Goes great on Momofuku Ramen and really anything else you want to kick up a few notches
2024_Savage
get the extra spicy, it’s not even that much hotter, this one is not hot at all, crunch is damn good though

Lao Gan Ma Spicy Chili Crisp blows this out of the water

This stuff is way better and no drama, if you’re in the midwest:

It’s good but make your own. It’s really easy and hella cheap.
Heads up, these glass jars are unusually fragile.
They leak from pinhole cracks suffered during shipment. Keep a paper towel under yours to see if it’s leaking.
I found out too late..
I have tried several different versions of chili crisp/crunch and Lao Gan Ma Spicy Chili Crisp is superior to them all.
That stuff is great. I also love the Fly By Jing chilli crisp. So good.
Haven’t tried it, and wouldn’t because David Chang is being an arse.

Will happily stick with Lao Gan Ma
