It looks fine to me… you can eat it regardless, they aren’t poisonous when unripe. Jalapenos and padrons are commonly eaten when green (unripe).
They can take a long time to ripen but this does look to be in the middle of it.
I don’t think it’s quite far along to keep ripening if it gets plucked, based only on my own experience.
