COWBOY BUTTER STEAK BITES

Cowboy Butter Steak Bites That Melt in Your Mouth

CHESS CAKE
1 box yellow cake mix
3 eggs
1 stick butter melted
8 ounces cream cheese softened
16 ounces powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
Place cake mix, 1 egg, and stick of butter into the bowl of mixer and beat for 1 minute until it becomes a soft dough.
Spread mixture evenly over bottom baking dish.
Combine remaining eggs, cream cheese, and powdered sugar in mixer bowl and beat until smooth.
Spread cream cheese mixture over cake batter and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
Allow to cool completely before cutting.

    I appreciate the honest opinion regarding the Chili-O. I personally don't care for it. I also don't like the taste of pre-packaged taco seasoning mix either, there is something in both that have an "off" or artificial taste. I love Chess cake. I'll try your method.

    I also appreciate your honest opinion on Chili-O seasoning. I don't think it has the same deep chili seasoning flavor as some other brands do. I like my chili to be deep chili flavored and it needs to be a dark maroon color lol

    I’ll be making those chicken fingers and we love the cake but just haven’t made it in a while. We had snow here yesterday but sun is out today. Just cold. ❄️

    I tried the chili-o package some time in the fall last year after seeing several people rave about making chili with it. I do not care for it and won’t buy it again. Always appreciate your honest thoughts on a product. Little boys are so funny…. The honey BBQ chicken tends look delicious and easy. That is one I will try. The cowboy butter steak bites looked scrumptious. I assume the meat was tender. Stew meat would probably not work good in this on stove top. I have seen some recipes use stew meat in a steak bite recipe cooked in crock pot. What would be good cut of steak to use that could be bought at store as I know you have meat from a cow that was processed to your specifications. Ribe eyes are pricey so do you have another suggestion? I remember chess cake and chess pie. Have not seen one in years.
