imo before i watched this i ate my dad's spicy fried rice and it was good
Great video and thank you for advocating for Indonesian cuisine, I don't know why but Indonesia have a very weak gastronomic diplomacy. Minor corrections, lime is not very common. We use lime for soto and soupy things. Terasi is also not very common. The rice looks a bit wet, maybe too much oil. Galangal is not mandatory and for an authentic Indonesian style crispy egg, just use the wok to fry it.
7:49 kejap lagi puak Type M mengaku kecap manis asalnya dari malaysialan kahkahkah
I wouldnt call nasi goreng spicy, its more sweet-savoury fromt he kecap manis if anything. But I guess for the american palette it is🤣
An exact 10 minutes video copying the recipe from the other channel is insane grift. This guy even used the same kecap manis brand as the other guy! Indonesian people like me fell for it because we think "InDO mEnTioNeD!" without thinking critically about who's saying it.
The popular street food style, we don't use galangal… We use candlenut
Idk about thr start.
I've had chicken tigh become downright narly and disgusting when use to prep in meal.
Whereas I never fucked up, or ate something with fucked up breast.
The tigh just has bad pieces.
tak kira cuman bapakku yang masak nasgor pake laos🤣
Approved 👍🏼
Unfortunately due to the Iran war and the blockage of the strait of Hormuz this dish can no longer be prepared in good conscience unless one would not mind draining the worlds residual oil reserves.
nice move to get the army of overproud Indonesian 😅 instant spike of new subscribers i guess.
OK. I will just stick with gooey fried egg whipped with fried shallot egg-fried rice. The war is making damages.
To much oily, less is better and dont use soy sauce except kecap manis
you forgot "acar bawang + timun"
onion/shallot pickled and cucumber, it would enhance the flavor
Thai chilies (50,000–100,000+ SHU) are the same pepper at different maturity levels: green are unripe, and red are ripe. Green chilies offer a sharper, more vegetal, and often hotter taste, while red chilies are milder, sweeter, and more fruity.
props for that hardtack reference.
Thai Red Chilli in Australia are nearly as hot as a habanero. They must be different in USA.
Hi from Malaysia, I hope you can explore the variety of Nasi Goreng in Malaysia. We have a lot of different kinds of Nasi goreng, and it's not exclusively a Malaysian fried rice; it's part of our culture. 🙏
Nasi goreng cina (Literally Chinese fried rice in translation.)
Nasi goreng kampung (main ingredients are Kangkong and anchovies)
Nasi goreng biasa (the base fried rice that is served with a side dish)
Nasi goreng Tom Yam (using tom yum paste and not the broth)
Nasi goreng ikan masin (with salted fish)
Nasi goreng cili padi (with a lot of chili inside)
Nasi goreng belacan (only if you dare)
Nasi goreng mamak (Indian muslim fried rice)
Nasi goreng USA (not American fried rice, it refers to the meat inside, Udang 'prawn', Sotong 'squid', Ayam 'chicken', this one from north of Malaysia, another version is the common one in south or modern city in Malaysia which has chicken or beef cooked in tomato-chili gravy and served with sunny side egg)
Nasi goreng Pattaya (not from Thailand at all, usually Chinese fried rice that is wrapped inside an egg crepe)
Nasi goreng ladna (fried rice drenched in egg-based gravy)
I'm Indonesian but never use Galangal for my Nasi Goreng … 😁
uncle roger where are u
Even from the thumbnail, I knew it was Nasi Goreng. Especially seeing the sambal on the side
Honestly though, just 2 chillies? Amateur
Sharpen your knife bro!
That a bit wet
western nasi be like this….wok hay without hay.hahaha
Never heard galangal in fried rice
I had indigestion and fatty liver because of unhealthy food habits. Yakrit Plihantak Churna by Planet Ayurveda worked well for my liver detox and digestive health.
Who eat nasi goreng with sambal bro? We eat with kerupuk or chips not sambal hell nah 😂
The secret of nasi goreng is actualy candlenut ( kemiri)
🔥🔥🔥 Nasi Goreng ❤❤❤
Actually Indonesian nasi goreng added the eggs first mix with the garlic before the rice joining in
Pro tip from middle aged white dude from Ohio: if the peppers are too hot you can also use mayonnaise
It needs bakso. Thin-sliced baksos.
Indonesian usually don’t use galangal for nasi goreng ,add candle nut it will taste better . Just use blender to all the ingredients or use pestle and mortar
You forgot to include "kerupuk".
VERY important.
How tf did I read "lasagna" instead of "insane" in the thumbnail??????
Who gave you my omas fried rice recipe 😮 you forgot the bacon and to fry your rice in the bacon grease though ❤ 😋
yellow onion? i've never heard of that
For the acidity we didnt use lime but chopped up pickles cucumber and carrot
As an Indonesian myself the best way to cook the rice is using the wok after you have cooked a delish dish, it WILL get enhanced also use smaller chilies and green ones boy they are spicy✌️❤️🔥
He's sacrifice the ROOKKKKKKKKS
Come back to Malaysia and try the many different fried rice we have.
Btw, refridgerated rice is healthier because digestible starches turn into resistant starches.
