

The other day I saw a post here where someone was asking how to open their hot sauce. Some people used drill bits, others used knives, I was very intrigued.
I bought the original, habanero and black Salsa Huichol after seeing how much people liked it. I love the OG and habanero ones, haven’t tried the black version yet, not sure if I will, it doesn’t look good lol.
I used a metal tooth pick to open my bottles!

Huichol black is fine. Its probably not what you are expecting, especially if you have had the Yucateca black (which is frequently available in the same places as Huichol). Because of the Yucateca black (which i love, controversial I know) i expected the Huichol black to be very smokey/roasted tasting. It is not. Maybe a little bit, but honestly if you didnt see it was the color it is, I think you would just assume its a regular, middle of the road red hot sauce. Its also not very spicy, about the same as regular Huichol. And I have always just poked a hole in the top with a steak knife, always worked fine for me.
