A friend of mine was at a convention in Denver and came across a booth from these guys. Apparently they’ve been on Hot Ones. Some of the best sauces I’ve ever had! The flavors she got:
The Bird Blood Cranberry Habanero. Heat level 3/10. This is frigging amazing. Perfect on your Thanksgiving leftovers. Not particularly spicy but there’s something there. I cracked it right after the holiday and made a turkey sandwich with it. Core memory unlocked.
Emerald Slime Salsa Verde. Heat level 4/10. Also not super spicy but very nice. I am from California and so I wouldn’t say it stands too far above some of the phenomenal taco truck salsa verde I’ve had in my time, but for something bottled to have in the fridge, it’s great.
The Road Dawg Chili Garlic. Heat level 4/10. This was my least favorite of the bunch. Not that it was bad but I guess I just can make even better stuff at home with garlic myself. Worthy of a wing if you want it to be garlicky and a bit sticky.
Colfax Killer Tropical Habanero. I haven’t opened this one yet. Saving it for the next Hot Ones party I throw with friends. Anyone out there know what to expect / heat level?
13th Floor Coconut Apricot. Heat level 7/10. The hottest of the bunch with quite a kick. The flavor profile was totally unlike any sauce I’ve ever had. For that reason I think it’s worth trying! That also makes it not a super versatile sauce, like the other three I tried. But it’s very yummy and very original.
What do y’all think? Have you tried other sauces from these guys?
