Ingredients
5-6 dry red chilies
3/4 tsp salt
1-2 tbsp jaggery (depends on sweetness)
3-4 tbsp tamarind pulp (more if you prefer less spicy)
Water as needed
For Tadka
Ghee
Curry leaves
Mustard seeds
Chopped garlic
1. Dry roast chillies with salt. Grind to make a coarse powder.
2. Add in jaggery and tamarind pulp. Adjust consistency with water. Grind to a paste. Chutney is ready. Taste once and balance the jaggery and tamarind as per your taste. In case you think it is too spicy, you can add a tomato and grind again.
3. Prepare the tadka and add in the chutney.
