  1. the second avocado toast is offensive. why the fuck did you make it a paste and then use a piping bag

personally.. i dont even think you should get the respect of a guillotine. dig your own grave is too much respect still

  2. As someone from Sydney, I'm a bit confused by the "of all places" comment — it's a big city, a lot of stuff happens here. And the comment about no one being able to buy a house because people are spending all their money on avocado toast is a riff of things Bernard Salt and Tim Gurner, both Australians and dickheads, said of other Australians.

Anywho, obviously everyone can enjoy their avocado toast (though I maintain it's nicer with a layer of Vegemite underneath, cuts through the fat and adds a real depth of flavour), and I apologise if I've come off a bit aggressive, it just seemed weird to me that something being popularized here seemed weird to you.

Unless it's because avocados are native to the Americas and very much not to here, in which case that's fair.

  3. I thought avocado toast was a California thing because boomers think avacado toast is why people in California can’t buy a home.

  4. Australia is not the origin of avocado toast. It's South America thing. White people stay colonizing everything.

  5. I FUCKING KNEW IT!!! I used to love avocado toast back in the 2010s, born and raised in new york. there was a time where I had it like twice a day for a week straight (we were living in a hotel for some reason I don't remember why and it was on the room service menu). stopped eating it for a while and then all of a sudden the last few years I'm hearing it's a cali thing and I'm like "tf??? I ate it a ton when I was younger", THANK YOU

  6. God are we Californians really so miserable and pretentious that our most popular food is avacado toast?

  7. I was eating avocado toast at him while it was a trend and didn't even know it was a trend. I ate it because it was cheap and filling.
