Total beginner here. My peppers are super leggy. If I should prune them, where exactly

Hey everyone,

I’ve been growing these peppers since late last summer. Because it got way too cold outside, I had to move them indoors and kept them under artificial grow lights all winter. Now they’ve turned into these really long, thin sticks.

The variety produces very small and extremely spicy red peppers, but I don’t know the exact name of the species.

I’m pretty new to this and honestly terrified of killing them if I cut too much.

I need some help with a few things:

  1. Should I prune (top) these to make them bushier and stronger?
  2. If I do prune, where exactly should I make the cut? (Please see the photos).

Any advice would be a lifesaver. Thanks!

I dont think you really need to prune, but definitely need to put them into the ground/a larger grow bag. They look like an annum, which tend to be more leggy and lanky anyway.
