Martin House Brewery was having “Dino Day” the other weekend. They had a bunch of stalls set up for local vendors to sell their wares, a meatball food truck that specialized in, you guessed it, meatballs, and a bunch of activities for the kiddos. I don’t drink anymore, so naturally I gravitated toward the vendor stalls, specifically the hotsauce one. They gave me the whole spiel and let me try each of their flagship sauces, and a couple others on the higher end of the SHU scale.
I walked away with these for different reasons, so I’ll highlight why I enjoyed them the most!
“Pickle Lover” is made with Best Maid pickle juice, and it’s mixed with their flagship jalapeño sauce. It’s got a great amount of tang, and a nice bite on the end to give you that burn without taking away from the green flavors of the jalapeño. Good stuff! 7.8/10
“Mango Pineapple Hab” was a shocker to me. I’m not the biggest fan of the fruity sauces, but this one hit all the notes and scratched all the itches. It wasn’t super sweet, but all 3 fruits melded together very well. The heat wasn’t as hot as I would have liked it to be, BUT it’s a delicious sauce that obviously made its way to my home. 7.5/10
“Ghost.” This one is very enjoyable. Great heat that doesn’t linger too much. The flavor of the ghosts are very present. Freaky Ferments doesn’t use any fillers like carrots and things to get their colors or flavors, so you really get to enjoy those fruity flavors from the peppers that you normally don’t get. Great fruit forward flavors followed by the smoky, earthy flavors everyone loves in a Ghost Pepper.
Thanks Freaky Ferments for a great conversation and sending me home with some outstanding sauce!

Forgot to mention, I gave the “Ghost” an 8.1/10!
