INSTANT POT | How to make instant pot chole recipe| Chana Masala


Today we will be preparing instant pot chole recipe

INGREDIENTS FOR CHOLE :

​

-1 cup of chole/chickpea (soak for 2hrs in hot water)

​

-1 Cup of chopped onions

​

-4-5 green Chili

​

-1 finely diced tomato(medium sized)

-3-4 pieces of ginger

​

-1/2 tsp of tumeric powder

​

-1/2 tsp of garam masala powder

​

-2 tsp of chole masala powder

​

-1 tsp red chilli powder

​

-1 tsp of corriander powder

​

-1 black cardamom

​

-1 star anise

​

-3-4 cloves

​

-1 bay leaf

​

-1 cinnamon stick

​

-3-4 tsp of oil

​

-3 tsp of tea powder(optional)

​

-a pinch of baking soda(optional)

​

-1 tsp of salt

​

​

STEPS:

​

1.Switch on the instant pot and click on saute mode (normal setting)

​

2.Add oil,chopped onions,chilli and garlic .Saute well for 3-4 mins

​

3.Add tomatoes and saute for 2mins(saute in low setting)

​

4.Add turmeric powder,coriander powder,garam masala,red chilli powder ,chole masala and salt.Saute well for 1min in low.

​

5.Add chole and saute well

​

6.Add tea brew and a pinch of baking soda.(Add extra water if needed)

​

7.Close the lid and ensure the knob is on sealing side.

​

8.pressure cook for 35mins and do a natural release for 20mins.

​

9.once the pin goes down ,then open the lid

​

10.garnish with coriander leaves and serve!!
