I see nothing here that doesn’t sound delicious in a salsa. Go for it

We use it in rice but never tried in salsa

I’d much rather use the fresh version of most of the ingredients in it, but if you don’t have access or want to keep a pantry-ready option it’s not a bad idea.

Yeah, this is a Puerto Rican thing. All we ever use is Goya products till we grow up and read how much MSG has been pumped into us since we were children. We should have the right to sue this Spanish company for doing this to us. Fuckers. We had no idea what MSG was in the 50s and 70s. P.S. avoid their Sazon packets its pure MSG.
I make my own sofrito, but sofrito is the absolute best when using super hot peppers…reapers, scotch bonnets, etc for salsas. You can use sofrito for anything, mild or hot. It’s your base for any condiment! Regardless of the heat of the pepper 🤩

So I definitely don’t encourage using store bought Sofrito. It’s really not good. Make it fresh for best results. The way I make mine, I wouldn’t really want to put in in a salsa. But every Sofrito is made differently so you could play with flavors.

I just ordered tomato bullion for Mexican rice and have way more than I’ll ever need, what salsa recipes out there are calling for this?
Appropriate-Trier
If you are using it for vegetarians, it has a game base.
Very much so. It’s a little sweet but it’s supposed to be. I always kinda thought it was like “chunky V8” with different spices. More than tomato sauce but less than paste

Put a big spoonful or 2 of that in your Bloody Mary/Maria if you like nice things

Eff Goya. Never supported it, never will. Hard pass.

Have you ever taken your own homemade salsa and cooked with it? That’s a whole world of recipes and this is a shortcut

Yes but if you have any decency don’t support that brand.

I use this for when I make Mexican rice, never tried it with salsa

My buddy cuts his pizza sauce with it. Pretty good.

Recaito provides a similar flavor.
I’ll never be able to buy Goya products without thinking of [this](https://static.politico.com/69/82/de6cb05041bf8a91cb30ab55e5b0/200715-trump-goya-ap-773.jpg) abomination.
