My friends own their home and airbnb out the unit in their basement.Â
These friends are among my biggest fans and always give me great feedback when I test out a new recipe. Â
One weekend recently we decided to make a [Salsa Ceniza](https://www.reddit.com/r/SalsaSnobs/comments/kzkcmw/salsa_a_la_ceniza_one_of_my_top_3_salsas_that_i/) (literally ash salsa) that requires roasting until black about 20 jalapenos in the broiler. Despite running the kitchen hood and opening a door, the smell still managed to make its way downstairs to the basement apartment, earning them this negative feedback and a 4-star review 😂

Reading that review i’d think that the roasting peppers were the least of the issues.
