    Salsa Roja, thanks autocorrect.

    Tried out my mortar and pestle as a standin for a molcajete.

    Recipe:

    2 plum tomatoes, deseeded

    Half a white onion

    One fresh jalapeño, deseeded

    1 long red dried chili thing, help me out here

    2 chipotle

    1 short fat dried pepper with skin like a raisin.

    4 garlic cloves

    2 lime’s worth of juice

    A bunch of smoked salt until I liked it

    Some cumin

    A handful of cilantro

    I knew what the chilies were when I bought them. Can’t be sure now. Sorry.

    Roast the veg, toast and soak the chilies, make the garlic and salt into paste, grind it all down in the mortar with the veg, eat.

    Sounds like guajillos and ancho chilies. We’re the chipotles dried too?
