Pan fried everything for 10 minutes to get some color. Added 1 by 1 to molcajete starting with the garlic, and seasonings first, followed by peppers and lastly the sole tomato. Came out great, surprisingly not too hot. Just enjoyed with some carne asada a la mexicana tacos and chilaquiles tacos. 😋
On a side note, it’s a struggle finding an authentic large molcajete. I had to separate this in two to effectively grind everything.

You need a bigger Molcajete!

The inside of your mocajete still looks really bumpy, have you seasoned it or did you just use it out of the box? Zero judgement, not everyone knows that you have to grind it smoother and rub it with garlic to get it ready. Makes it a lot easier to use and clean.
I haven’t used [this](https://masienda.com/products/molcajete) site before so I can’t attest to the quality but from the review photos looks like like real basalt and not dyed masonry.

For some reason I read that to say guacamole. I’m so glad it’s salsa.
