i think next trend of korean restaurant market is mexican. especially tacos. already many taquerias opened in seoul.
here is taqueria named Villa Guerrero Tacos. it is located Coex, Seoul. it is place that well embodied original mexican style tacos. most korean people unfamiliar to Mexican local tacos like lengua tacos, buche tacos. so many taquerias in seoul are well localized suit for taste of korean. there are barely here offer a local style tacos.
i watched the instagram of Villa Guerrero Tacos. it looks the owner studied at Mexico before opened this restaurant. he also has Youtube channel. he looks very serious to tacos.
i ate lengua and buche(stomach) taocs. that is totally new experience for me. that is so awesome. i am fall in love that taco’s great savor and texture of pork. the salsa was perfect. tortilla that made on the spot was perfect. i never been Mexico, even America, but Villa Guerrero took me America continent immediately.
due to owner’s authentic philosophy of taco, the taqueria do not sell optional foods like nacho chips, guacamole. he really focus on carnitas with big heavy knife.
one piece of taco is about 5,000 KRW (=4 USD). i think that is not expensive in common food market in korea. even the taqueria is located Gangnam, where is most expensive region in Korea. i could ate 4 tacos, but i had to restrained for my diet. i ate half of that.
the taqueria does not have big size hall. maybe ten people is maximum. the Aztecs style pattern and color interior was so unique and exotic to me.
i do not have much experience of tacos. but i want to say taqueria Villa Guerrero is my best place for original mexican style tacos in seoul. so, if you come to Korea, and if you taco mania, please visit Villa Guerrero. and estimate my review.

That looks a lil heavy on the cilantro.
Nice! It is always good to see the “real thing” represented abroad.
“Mexican style tacos”????
Why the downvotes? By the way, I had good mexican food in Songtan back in 2014.
they look better than the tacos they make in the US.
Que chido está su reconocimiento !
Love it! Looks like a taquería. Just one question before we can put the “Mexican approved” stamp on it. Do those tacos have one or two tortillas each?
Very cute!
My dream was to open an authentic Mexican restaurant in Korea. Big problem is how many don’t like cilantro
Really solid tacos.
Ask the owner if they will ever have obispo. It is a regional specialty sausage from Villa Guerrero. This place looks amazing!
I saw a video of the owner speaking about his friends and the connections he made down in MX. I think we was living there for a bit and learned how to cook the traditional style of Mexico cuisine. It was really heart warming and touching how much love he has for the people and the culture.

yaaay this makes me so happy as a Mexican who loves Korean food. I hope y’all enjoy the tacos, they look good!
Looks like this restaurant really nailed it. If it weren’t for the Korean on the menu I would have guessed it was in Mexico or in the United States. I wish we had more accessible Korean options where I live. All we really have for Asian cuisine are American Chinese take out, and Sushi.
This is great, thank you for sharing it!
nice probably owned by chingu amiga.
I saw the korean taquero in a YouTube video, dude had come to México to learn how to do carnitas in a proper way.
I think is very cool.
Looks good!
They look good!
Those tacos look great! Now I’m getting hungry….. 🤤
By far the worst Mexican food i ever had was in Seoul, Korea
another reason to visit korea
I’m Mexican and this taquería looks authentic.
The Mexican classic in thacos: cilantro, cebolla, salsa y limón. You can never go wrong with this mix. The portions look good as well. Try taco de pastor next time, you’ll love it!
wait a minute he comes from the state of mexico???
Added to my list to places to check out if I ever make it to Korea!
Wow these look really authentic
So cool! This could almost be mistaken for one of those AI Mashup images. But only in the best of ways!
So jealous…Used to live in Inchon in a taco wasteland. Korean food is awesome, but I missed it.
Sabes que es auténtico mexicano, porque su logo es un cerdo en un cazo xD
