It was a bit hot for me (sigh, getting older) so I added a bunch more tomatoes. I liked it. After that taste I added a bit more of the tequila and it got an interesting ‘smooth’ taste or mouth feel.

Do you know why it’s called borracha? I know it means drunken in Spanish, but wondering if you know why this salsa has that name?

I’m new here and have a hard time finding your recipes. Your photo is beautiful, but I’d sure love the recipe. By the way, I’m 83 and never heard about spicy being too much for old people – still like my salsa hot and spicy. Lived in San Antonio for 7 years and have enjoyed cooking Mexican and Tex-Mex. Each time I go back to San Antonio, I learn about new foods. Usually only go to Mexican owned restaurants. Look forward to learning from ya’ll.
