looks like a manzano. they’re the only chile with black seeds. very fleshy, a little sweet, and mildly spicy. great pepper.

This farmers market stand in the central coast had them! Soooo good. Very sweet but spicy still but somehow the residue of them on my hands always fucked me up later on.
I never used them for salsa but always chopped them up fresh and added them to whatever I would add jalapeños to.

Manzanos. We’re lucky to have a Mercado here that stocks them as they are hard to cultivate anywhere that ever gets freezing temps. I use them to make a hot sauce, wonderful flavor.
