Taco Tuesday

I guess this is our big announcement. It’s cool to get free DLT starting next week, though I’m not sure what exactly the doordash thing will look like.

Taco John’s is leagues better. They actually have somewhat decent deals for their Taco Tuesdays

  2. YeOldeBilk

I’ll celebrate by going to Taco John’s since this sounds like the stupidest fucking gimmick all year

  3. Arthurlurk1

Wow one free dorito taco. This is what they fought so hard for.

  4. flycasually

they spent so much money fighting for the taco tuesday trademark for this??

  5. CRIMExPNSHMNT

Only this sub would complain about a free taco.

  6. Their petition to the court concerning the trademark of Taco Tuesday is pure gold.

    >PETITION FOR CANCELLATION
    >
    >Petitioner Taco Bell IP Holder, LLC. a Delaware limited liability company. believes “Taco Tuesday” should be freely available to all who make. sell. eat. and celebrate tacos, and therefore petitions to cancel Registration No. 1572589(the “Registration”) for the “mark” TACO TUESDAY.
    >
    >PREFACE
    >
    >A. People like tacos on Tuesdays. They just do. It’s even fun to say: “Taco Tuesday.” Tacos have the unique ability to bring people together and bring joy to their lives on an otherwise mediocre day of the week. But since 1989. entities associated withRegistrant have owned a federal trademark registration for “Taco Tuesday.” Not cool.
    >
    >B. Because of the Registration, Registrant is the only restaurant that has thepresumptive right to use “Taco Tuesday.” That’s not right.
    >
    >C. The Registration potentially subjects Taco Bell and anyone else who wants to share tacos with the world to the possibility of legal action or angry letters if they say “Taco Tuesday” without express permission from Registrant-simply for pursuing happiness on a Tuesday. This violates an American ideal: “the pursuitof happiness.
    >
    >D. “Taco Tuesday” is a common phrase. Nobody should have exclusive rightsa common phrase. Can you imagine ifwe weren’t allowed to say “what’s up” or”‘brunch”? Chaos.
    >
    >E. This Petition is brought because Taco Bell believes that tacos. just likethe joy they bring, belong to everyone on any day. Ergo, “Taco Tuesday” shouldbelong to everyone.
    >
    >F. Taco Bell believes “Taco Tuesday” is critical to everyone’s Tuesday. To deprive anyone of saying “Taco Tuesday”-be it Taco Bell or anyone who providestacos to the world-is like depriving the world of sunshine itself.
    >
    >G. Taco Bell supports everyone’s right to celebrate. and say. “Taco Tuesday.” no matter who they are. How can we tell our fans to Live Mas if their favorite tacojoints aren’t even allowed to freely say “Taco Tuesday’? Anything else is menos.
    >
    >H. Taco Bell seeks no damages: it simply seeks reason and common senses
    >
    >I. If one of us is not free to celebrate “Taco Tuesday.” then nonelof us are free to celebrate “Taco Tuesday.” A win for Taco Bell here is a win for allWhen tacos win, we all win.

only this sub full of the most whiny bitchy people on planet earth could somehow manage to complain about getting a free taco. im the biggest taco bell eater in my state and im like this close to leaving this sub because of how pissy the populous of this sub are. is nothing good enough for yall??

  9. browmftht

oh i forgot about this and how annoying i thought it was. i thought it was cool that the guy owned taco tuesday and have always found the phrase annoying anyway

  10. dingos8mybaby2

Give us $1 tacos every Tuesday you cowards.

  11. igolikethis

I especially loved the portion that said “Taco John’s courageously decided to abandon its Taco Tuesday trademark registration.” Aka: they didn’t want (or couldn’t afford) to drop probably millions to fight the lawsuit that Taco Bell could easily afford to drag on for forever, and potentially go out of business.

    But sure. Courageous.
