I’ve been a big fan of Taco Bell since I first tasted it :9 i loved it so much I chose it as my first job
When I worked at Taco Bell almost 9 years ago, the cheesy roll up was 79 cents.
The cheesy roll up is just a 3 cheese blend in a tortilla steam and rolled up.
I’ve been watching the price rise slowly. Now, it’s a whopping 1.59 🤯

What the heck???
I remember when they came out with this basic menu item. I knew it was a scam from the beginning, they don’t even try to call it something Spanish. It is literally an attempt at a snack when your fridge is empty or someone is a ridiculously picky eater. And now it’s the only way to order a poor man’s meximelt.
Rent used to be half what it is too.
I’ve only tried these once. It is not worth it.
I remember when all the major fast food chains had $1 menus. And there was usually 10-15 things that were actually $1 or less each. I miss being able to eat for 2-3 days off of $20
I mean this isn’t a Taco Bell problem. Mcchicken and McDoubles used to be a dollar. They’re now between 2.50-3.19
Yeah and it’s basically just one bite worth of food, not worth it at all
It’s $1.89 here.
It’s a $1-starting-price item that the franchise here has nearly doubled in price. Same thing with the ‘Potato Soft Taco and the ‘Bean and Rice Burrito. The last such item, ‘Twists, they actually have doubled, they’re $1.99 here.
Back in (edit)the olden times, it was called a cheesarito. I still call them that.
Those are still a $1 at my Taco Bell. That sucks
Well thanks to all the 20 year old white girl food hacks we have to put up with price increases! Yayyyy let’s wrap our taco in a roll up & make a double decker so quirky & cool then post it & get a million views….corporate sees this & ups the price stop HACKING shit then exposing it to everyone! Fast food is being gentrified! Go hack Panera Bread or Starbucks damn! Smh
Bidenomics
These have been $2.19 at my location for a while now
Sheesh. So glad I don’t do pre rolls anymore. About to roll my 3rd one haha.
The spicy potato soft taco changes from $1.00 to $1.49 right in front of me earlier. It was $1.00 and I hit customize and the screen froze, I restarted the app and it was $1.49. The 2 for 99cent tacos at jack in the box are $1.89 now too.
price mas
They’re $1 here. I think they’re bullshit, but my 9-year old loves them and I’m okay with that. She’s a cheap date.
Thanks Biden
It’s $1.19 by me now, wtf. It’s literally cheese in a tortilla.
Inflation is a average… the main reason Taco Bell prices have been so crazy is because they have to attract employees and labor costs have been trending up because employees are demanding more compensation… Taco Bell shifted that cost as well as increases in shipping costs and product costs to the consumers…
Consumers have accepted these price increases and Taco Bell has reported revenues of $12B in 2019, $13B in 2021, and $15B in 2022 rounding up…
It should be said that front line employees deserve the increase… it has been a long time coming… but Corporate Home Office isn’t taking pay cuts either and costs are kinda out of control at the moment…
There is no incentive for Taco Bell to reduce prices until demand decreases and they are testing to see where that eventually happens… what kind of price point does the consumer feel to be the threshold.
For cheese. And a small flour tortilla. Bruh.
They’re .99 here
Boo hoo
This is what you make in your microwave when your starving and desperate.
It still is at my local taco bells
I remember when bean burritos and tacos were $0.49! I miss those days!
This should be your benchmark for location prices. For cheaper spots cheesy roll up is 1$ and chicken chipotle grilled burrito is 2$ flat.
It’s insane, I never get them even tho I love them. They cost almost as much as the cheesy bean and rice burrito and that’s crazy.
Blame Biden and The Democrats they’re ruining this country everything was great before they got into office and that is a bonafide FACT!!!
I remember just a few years ago when they were a dollar. and then I happened to be at a Taco Bell in Anchorage and it was $1.19, I thought that extra 19 cents was insane. but accepted it cause its Alaska.
well now in Arizona they’re $1.29 :/
They’re still a buck here, and even that is .75 more than I’d ever spend for one of these fucking things.
Why the fuck are chips and cheese over $2?
What do you expect? Soy boys want 15 dollars an hour? And a lot of factory workers make the same. Lol
And that my friend is, Biden Economics.
Prices will always goes up. But the rate of change compared to wages / income is where the concerns lies.
It was overpriced then and even more so now. I am just confused someone buys these, you can make em at home for pennies by sticking em in the microwave for a few seconds
