Tasted fine to me. This is more practical, the stuffing method is a bit more work. I used almonds in place of walnuts, they were cheaper and tasted less bitter. The fruit is peaches. The red bits are Grenada seeds.

I really enjoyed having this in Mexico City. I had no idea what to expect and was really surprised by the different fresh, bright, and sweet flavors.

I’ve wanted to try that ever since I saw it on a Rick Bayless show years ago. Especially the walnut sauce… that sounds really interesting.
