Help with indoor plant

Habanero plant, 6-7 months old. Any idea why this is popping up on some of the older leaves? Southern facing window gets sunlight 6-7 hours a day directly. And I rotate it every few hours when I walk to and from my desk. Water it 3 times a week or so as it dries out. White stuff on dirt is diatomaceous earth to keep the knats down.

Looks pretty healthy to me minus the small pot, your gonna lose a few leaves and once it starts fruiting the upper canopy will have smaller leaves anyways as more energy goes towards fruit production.

Next time you apply the dia earth put a few tbsps in a 16oz spray bottle and give it a good shake then apply, as the water dries you’ll get a very nice even thin coating on the leaves and makes it a lot easier to get the stems and under sides for 1/3 the earth.
