Taco Bell

Why is it so hard for them to cut this right?

Seriously, when and IF they cut my overpriced quesadilla they somehow manage to fck it up every…time…

Other times they will cut it the right direction but leave an inch slice so it’s not even.

If you’ve seen the tool and how they cut it you’d understand. They’re in a hurry. I kinda like it honestly. Sometimes I’ll have a giant slice.

They have us “cut” it with a dull piece of metal and we’re supposed to do it while it’s in the sleeve

If you’re trying to tell me that you don’t crumble the whole thing up in a ball and eat it in one bite like the rest of us, I won’t believe you.

A couple reasons I can think of:

    1. Dull cutters, the cutters are rolled over top of the wrapper. The wrappers no longer have a transparent window so the employee cant even see if they have cut through the quesadilla anymore

    2. The packaging has arrows that informs the employee of where to cut. Tortillas are not all the same, there are absolutely smaller/bigger tortillas within the same tortilla package. The arrows work if you have the right sized tortilla, and if you don’t have it smashed into the bag with 1 side all crumpled up.

    3. In this case it looks like the quesadilla was cut upside down. Possibly lazy employees, or forgot which way they put the quesadilla in the wrapper. Again a transparent window would let them see which way they put it into the wrapper.

Ex: Image of older wrapping that has the transparent window to see cuts. You can clearly see the tortilla isn’t centered on the bottom arrow so you will get uneven slices. Employees are told to use the arrows for cutting and can get marked down for not using the arrows even when it clearly wont give even piece cuts.

They cut it while it’s inside a paper bag. They can’t see what they’re cutting.

  6. Does it really matter how it’s cooked? It all eats the same and I don’t look at it long enough to care for the presentation.

I guarantee if anyone complaining about these types of things work at tacobell even after more than a year would make these kind of mistakes. I always try to focus on making sure the quesadillas are cut good but when it’s hella busy and my boss is constantly in our ears about the times I make mistakes and mess some things up.

Because we have 9 in a row 34 tacos 18 burritos and 2 people in a wrapped to the road line trying to get everyone out on under 2 minutes. Ask for a knife. Finish cutting it.

It’s not that it’s hard for them. It’s that they simply don’t care.

My bad g I was high asf when I was making ur shit lol I gotchu next time tho

  11. Function-Brave

Dude who cares that thing looks pretty packed compared to the ones I get!!!

  12. Sleep_Token_

It’s not really a cutter more like a dull thin metal blade that presses through the plastic to cut it

  13. Onironius

About as hard as it is to cut it yourself.

Probably a combination of being overworked and underpaid with just a *sprinkle* of having to deal with people like you that feel that things like this in life are worthy of actually complaining about.

You’re going to stick it in your mouth, mash it up with your teeth, swallow it and shit it back out tomorrow – why do you care this much about how well it’s cut? It’s not even like it’s burned, undercooked, cold, or legitimately messed with. It’s just ugly looking lmao.

If you turn it sideways it looks a bit nsfw

  16. katdaddylongleg

I love how chaotically they get cut

  17. mushroomaddy

if its not cut like this then its not a taco bell quesadilla and i dont want it

  18. wheeloftoe

Are we really hot and bothered by this, lol? I’m telling you, go buy a bag of fajitas chicken strips, a pack of tortillas, three cheese blend, and a couple of cups of the creamy jalapeño sauce. You can get 10-15 quesadillas for like 25 bucks 🧍. If you have 4.50 (FL price) to waste on a Taco Bell quesadilla, good for you. But you could do it ur self and cut ur quesadilla as pretty as you’d like.

And based on ur replies, this was definitely a move I call “being fed up with ur ass”

So many triggered Taco Bell workers in this sub lolll trying to defend shitty work ethic.

I worked at bk when I was 16, would stay up all night playing video games go into work tired, didn’t want to be there but I still owned that shit and always gave it 100%

  20. Daft_Gilligan88

Why do people complain about Taco Bell despite the common sense of not going. Even in everyday life I hear people complain about it. How much can you put yourself through for the same Ingredients over and over again? Lol

  21. SecMcAdoo

You are going there for the cheap food. Not for presentation.

  22. SorryDuplex

I get quesadillas all the time and they’re always cut so weird. I just think it’s funny tho lol

  23. THICCPOGGS

How much is this lil quesidialla these days? I bet its like $7 or something right?! Lmao

  24. coltchief13

The skill set is that of a 6 year old…what would you expect from a 40 year old fast food worker.

  25. My favorite is when you go to pull them apart and only the top is cut and it rips the entire back off of the next piece!

  26. TheRealKingTony

They’re also pushed by a countdown timer.

Speed is encouraged over quality control.

Sorry the overworked teenager making minium wage didn’t cut your $6 quesadilla correctly.
