


Labeled as a Datil Pepper. Very nice flavor, habanero heat that takes a second to come on. I was expecting more of a point to the fruit, and a deaper orange color, from what I’ve seen online. I’ve never seen a Datil with my own eyes or even tasted one.

I’d say those could still be datils, if not you’ve probably got plain ol’ habs.
Perhaps the orange will deepen if they’re left another week or two. They look reasonably datil-like to me, just big.
Where did you get the seed?
Looks like the datils I’ve grown.
They don’t look like any datil I’ve seen. Atypical shape and color at least. Usual shape and color is more like a carrot.
Here’s a datil I grew in spring of 2022 from seeds I got in St Augustine. As far as I can tell this is the norm for datils.

I live in St. Augustine and I’m growing some Datils now! Any tips? They seem to be doing pretty well but no peppers yet.
