They make it sound like some life-changing magic potion. It’s literally some powdered chili mix with a couple scoops of beef. The burrito is just a small puddle of runny chili with a pinch of cheddar cheese. Hard pass. If you like the chili try adding it to other stuff and skip the burrito.

I worked at Taco Bell when the chili cheese burrito was introduced and it’s always been my favorite item on the menu. I always made them for myself with 50% extra meat and about twice the cheese so I’m definitely biased.

I loved it when they used to have it in TX. But I’m also a slut for chili. It was sloppy and wonderfully, horribly delicious. They need it to be permanent imo. OR do a Frito pie burrito option where you can get a cup of it on the side. They already have Fritos on items. Seems like a no brainer to me. Glad you liked it!

I know CCBs are found just about everywhere except where I frequent (the Detroit area, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, etc.)… are they still put in burrito shells or have they been downsized to soft taco shells now?
Just trying to manage my expectations here.

Goes to the back finds the bag chili which doesn’t need to kept cooled. Cuts it open and throws it in a warmer. Lol ala lunchlady from the Simpson. Here’s to you special TB chili man 🫡

I’m happy you liked it! I have a couple alt versions to recommend. The first is getting extra cheese and adding rice. Thats the verison I get most often. The second one is a little expensive but if they make it right it’s big and delicious. I add potatoes, nacho cheese, and seasoned beef. It’s almost reminiscent of the 1/2 lb Cheesy Potato Burrito of days gone by.
