What’s your preferred brand of chorizo that’s readily available?
Used to live near a butcher that makes it, but the area I’m in now isn’t the most “Mexican food-friendly” and a lot more limited. Grocery stores did tell me if I give them a brand, they may be able to get it for me! I did find one brand at one place, and it was oily AF.

The one from the carnicería
Chata FTW
In Virginia, I got to go with [Logan’s.](https://shoplogans.com/products/hot-mexican-style-chorizo) La raza has left me down and alone out here.
Chorizo De San Manuel. It’s a South Texas company but I’ve seen it as far as SoCal.
I grew up in Indiana, we only had access to Supremo, so that is my go to preference. But I live in Texas now and can’t find that brand that I like. I lean towards San Manuel. Cacique is terrible.
whatever you do, don’t buy anything from cacique… that shit is nasty af…
This is my go-to when health isn’t an issue: http://newyorkstylesausage.com/don-juan-chorizo-rolls/
When calorie conscious, I like this, but it’s hard to find: https://diestelturkey.com/products/turkey-chorizo/
i make my own, the ones in the store in my part of the country are trash and ingredients pretty awful
Chimex
Don’t know if you have any Aldi stores where you are, but their chorizo is surprisingly good. (And here in the Midwest, it’s only $2.79 for a 12oz pkg. BONUS! 😋) That’s my “go-to” but when they’re out, I only buy Supremo, which runs ~$8.39 per 12oz pkg.
Chata
Get it from your nearest mexican store. Cique is trash
Chorizo Chata de soya.
Las sevillanas or chata.
El cerdito 👊
Chorizo Goliz, su marketing es inigualable
I prefer longaniza. I usually get the Reynaldo’s brand. This brand also has chorizo but in my experience, it gets very mushy. The longaniza can be cut to any size you like (it’s kinda like a sausage) and it tastes better imo.
San Luis brand in Texas 🥰
Chorizo De San Manuel. I live like 20 min from there.
La sevillana
Huevo con chorizo, algo simple pero riquísimo y más con tortilla
I like to brown it a little more than that. It adds to the flavor.
buy mexican ingredientes on line, make it from the ground…
Real ones but it from the butcher “carniceria”
Del de el carnicero cuando pides medio kilo.
I love soyrizo
San Manuel for sure!!!
