Is there any rhyme or reason to the pricing of sauces?

Yeah, this is weird. All the sauces at my location are $0.50 now. The only exception is red sauce, which is free. I don’t have an explanation for what’s happening here.

On the left is from place with older skool pricing ($1.59 bean burito, $1 cheesy bean/rice burrito). On the right is from a pricier store ($2.39 bean burrito, $1.59 cheesy bean/rice burrito).

The cheaper store has higher sauce prices (except for the Mexican Pizza Sauce, which is free.)Is that typical? That the higher the store’s prices are the lower the sauce prices are?

I’ve never had the mexican pizza so I don’t know what that sauce is like. How would you describe it? What non-pizza items would it pair well with? Since it’s free I might as well try it on some items.

At the location closest to me, the Spicy Ranch is $0.30 extra. At the next-closest one, it’s $0.65… There *can’t* be any rhyme or reason to it.

You are missing the GOAT sauce, creamy
    Jalapeño.

Just assholes. Red sauce and nacho cheese was free for a long time. It’s just dumb that I don’t want say spicy ranch but I’d like chipotle. Costs the same the fuck can’t I swap it but ya know capitalism. They put sauces on these where it’s good but where most people will sub. It’s why the 5 layer is the only burrito can’t even sub if a been burrito. But I’ll end up taking off nacho cheese annoyed about the extra tortilla but still add onions and it’s a burrito supreme

I dunno the grilled chipotle chicken burrito did go down to $2 but a week later it’s back to $3 so just shitty franchise owners I guess

Chipotle sauce is randomly 6 cents for just about every item. It’s very strange

Sauces should be free it’s ridiculous that they charge for any of them besides guac

Mannnnn I was so happy this summer after Volcano tacos were back. That lava sauce is goooooooooood

Probably priced based on popularity lol

I’m fairly certain each franchise can choose how much they charge for each item within a certain range. That’s why there’s a place near me that has the make your own box for $15, but the deluxe box is still $8.99 because they forgot to change it

Lava sauce was a whole freaking dollar…

  16. It’s probably either a glitch or they for some reason are basing the price off of the cost to produce then after a fixed percent profit. It’s weird.

Supply and demand. If they can make more money off a particular sauce they will.

TIL the pizza sauce is actually different than the red sauce

I paid .70 for chipotle sauce on the app yesterday I wish I had these prices lmao

  20. Side of guacamole is 1.10 and nacho cheese is 1.00 by me 😩

I just go with the free one. Usually it’s Mexican pizza sauce or red sauce.
