Had this happen to my tomatoes last year. It happens because of calcium deficiency which causes „blossom end rot“ (google translator for blütenendfäule, don t know if the translation fits)
Put some egg shells in the soil and it should provide the calcium it needs. Like someone else said, blossom end rot. Tomatoes are especially susceptible to it.
Pasteurize grounded egg shells in oven on tin foil for 20 min at 200 degrees. You don’t want bad stuff getting in. Put a TBSP of pasteurized shells in 8oz white vinegar overnight in a glass with paper towel over it to keep out bugs. In AM-put entire mixture in a gallon jug with water. Pour half day 1 and half day 2. Problem solved I promise. Calcium deficiency
