Peppers

Identification help needed

Bought this “habanero” pepper plant this spring. It’s just staring to give me peppers and they look nothing like my home grown habaneros. Any ideas?

Habanero, looks like when the pepper was first growing conditions weren’t optimal but later in the growth the conditions got better (light water nutrients etc)

Probably still habs. I’ve had a few plants in less optimal locations that produce like this.

Easiest test is to eat both and see if heat/flavor are the same.

Thank you everyone- I thought so but shape threw me for a spin. First year grower, I’m still green

  5. They do seem like habeneros. Maybe some strange sub-variety with breeding changing shape.

Top row look like Habaneros, the bottom row could be some other closely related pepper in the same family.
