Need help identifying peppers

Hey Peps,

Posted on spicy thread but need all the help I can get. Picked a bunch of peppers from a local farm on Long Island. Idk what most of them are but I’m trying to ferment each type individually and would love to know what I’m using. If you know any of these, lmk!

#1 definitely Habaneros, #2 is harder, could be small serranos

    Ok, I suggest….

A picture of a flower of each type.

    An estimate of the heat

    A description of the taste

A photo of the wall thickness.

#1 The peppers labeled as “#1” are identified as “Habanero” peppers based on the label in the image. They are orange in color and have a characteristic lantern shape.

#2 The peppers in the bowl labeled as “#2” are not labeled with their specific name in the image. However, based on their appearance — bright red color and slender shape — they resemble “Thai chili” or “Bird’s eye chili” peppers.

#3: These appear to be a type of large chili pepper. They could be something like Fresno peppers, given their size and bright red coloration. Fresnos are moderately spicy.

#4: These red, slender peppers resemble Thai chili peppers or possibly cayenne peppers. Both types are known for their spiciness.

#5: These are quite similar to #4 in appearance and could also be Thai chili peppers or cayenne peppers.

#6: These yellow-orange peppers look like Aji Amarillo or possibly Yellow Wax peppers. Aji Amarillo peppers have a fruity flavor and are moderately hot.

#7: These dark peppers could be Chocolate Habaneros or a similar variety. Chocolate Habaneros are very hot and have a unique, smoky flavor.

#8: These shiny, bright red peppers are larger and could be Red Bell peppers or possibly a variety of sweet pepper. If they’re bell peppers, they won’t be spicy at all.

#9: These smaller, glossy red peppers with some showing a wrinkled texture might be cherry peppers or a similar small variety. Cherry peppers can range from sweet to moderately spicy.
