Yes. The cheese on the outside is grilled in a closed clamshell grill. It’s possible to do it without breaking it, but honestly, that takes more focus, precision and time than anyone is afforded at TB.
That said, most of the time the break will just be along the bottom seam. This looks like it was dropped on the ground tbh.

Yes and it even says so in our training videos for these new tacos. We’re supposed to serve it, even if it breaks. I mean, what do people expect? It’s a freshly fried taco shell immediately being placed on a clamshell grill. 🤷

Mine wasn’t broken, but it was nasty AF. Definitely not worth the price. I wouldn’t buy them if they were $1 🤢

As an employee tacobell literally told me it would be ok. I carefully shut the grill so this doesnt happen tho.
