8 Roma tomatoes, 1 white onion, good handful of garlic, 5 habanero, 2 small carrots. Sprayed olive oil over the pan and broiled. Added a lime, splash of apple cider vinegar, and ~2 tsp salt. I do one small dish with no chiles for the weak hearted. Good heat, maybe add another carrot next time. Iāve done ginger and a bit more vinegar in other attempts to use as more of a hot sauce.

And extra points for those chips. Theyāre really good.
This is similar to an old recipe from my grandmother. It’s basically just habaneros and carrots lol, idk what she was on. 1 generation Italian, or if im using that wrong she was born in US fo Italian immigrants in about 1937 iirc.
Interesting. What do the carrots add? A bit of sweetness?
Looks delicious!
I wonder how it would be with picked carrotsā¦. I have a bunch of them because I pick out the jalapeƱos and leave them behind.
Looks yummy.
Love adding roasted carrots to my salsa!
I once did this completely wrong and used like 10 habaneros but like 10 big carrots too and i donāt even think I should be able to call it salsa
Was it bitter from the burnt garlic?
