

Here is a Salsa de Chili Pequin I’ve made a few times recently, the base recipe was inspired by AnrieTex on Youtube. In this modified recipe I’ve added a little habanero to increase the tropical fruit notes, as well as some small diced onion at the end for texture, and a squeeze of lime to balance everything. I’ve been making salsas a lot recently and this recipes has been a real standout, it’s addictive.
Ingredients
4 Roma tomatoes (boiled & blended)
30 wwdried chile pequín peppers (boiled & blended)
1 garlic clove (boiled & blended)
1/2 habanero pepper (boiled & blended)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup finely diced white onion (added at end)
1/2 lime
