Bought and tried Mateo’s hot salsa for the first time and ate the whole jar. So naturally I went and picked up 2 more. As I’m eating the newly bought one, it’s way hot. I check the ingredients and one has habanero and one doesn’t, but they are labeled the same?
Is this a manufacturing error or am I missing something?

Two different production plants. You can tell by the print on the expiration dates. They may also have regional variations on recipes, Texas is going to have a different baseline on “hot” salsa than Minnesota is. Your grocery store probably buys from a mainline distributor that sources from multiple different plants for the same products, depending on logistics and supply.
