Animal Style Double Cheeseburger 🤤

This is your sign to stop ordering takeaways and make this at home instead 🤝

Thin mustard fried beef patties, melted double cheese, jammy onions and a sweet tangy sauce layered in every bite. So easy to make, high in protein & absolutely BANGIN 🤤

Ingredients (serves 2):
Beef Patties
300g lean beef mince
Salt & black pepper
2 tsp yellow mustard

Onions
1 large onion, finely diced
1 tsp lighter butter spread
½ tsp sugar
Splash of water

Animal Sauce
60g lighter mayo
1 tbsp reduced sugar ketchup
½ tsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp finely diced gherkins
1 tsp gherkin juice
¼ tsp garlic granules
¼ tsp smoked paprika
¼ tsp sugar

To Build
2 brioche buns
4 slices of reduced fat cheese
Handful shredded lettuce

💞Cook the onions low and slow in a pan with the butter, sugar and a small splash of water. Stir regularly and keeping them moving so they don’t catch, until soft& golden. Add a splash of water if needed to stop them sticking.

💞Mix together all of the sauce ingredients and set aside.

💞Divide the beef into 4 equal portions, then shape into rough balls. Place each one between two sheets of parchment paper and press down firmly with your hands to form thin, even patties.

💞Heat a pan over high heat and add the patties. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then spread the mustard directly onto the top of each patty.

💞Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes, pressing lightly so the mustard side cooks into the meat. Add a slice of cheese to each patty and allow it to melt.

💞Lightly toast the brioche buns in a toaster.

💞To build, spread a layer of the sauce over the bottom bun, add the shredded lettuce, then stack up the cheesy patties. Spoon over the caramelised onions, finish with the remaining sauce and top with the bun.

  1. You need cast iron or steel for this. Teflon is both anti sear (which is what you are trying to do – sear) and very toxic for you.

  2. This genre of bland shitfluencers doing a cringe dance when they take a bite of food needs to end. They can’t do a single unique thing
