In today’s video, I’m making my Hot Chili Tofu using soft, silky tofu steamed to perfection and topped with a hot, flavorful chili garlic oil. It’s simple, quick, and packed with bold flavor.
Here’s how it comes together:
I gently steam silken tofu until it’s warm and delicate, then pour over a sizzling mixture of grapeseed oil, fresh grated garlic, red pepper flakes, chopped scallions, Korean bbq sauce and a touch of sesame oil. The heat brings everything to life—infusing the tofu with rich, spicy, aromatic flavor.

1 block silken tofu
1/4 cup Korean bbq sauce
1–2 tablespoons grapeseed oil
2–3 cloves fresh garlic, grated
1–2 teaspoons red pepper flakes (adjust to heat preference)
2 scallions, finely chopped
1–2 teaspoons sesame oil
Optional (for extra flavor):
Pinch of sea salt or splash of soy sauce / tamari
