They were just too big and it was getting way too crowded in the heat lamp area. They have some room to breathe here and it’s a south facing window so still good for 11+ hours of light.
I’m thinking of it like hardening off a bit as the conditions will be closer to the greenhouse. Some of these are already showing flowers- way too early!
Pinch off the flowers?
Meantime the smaller ones will now have more space in the heat lamp area and can maybe catch up?

Window sills can be a fine place for them until outside temperatures are high enough. I’d do the same.
Pinching off flowers is a topic where opinions vary, but most people think there’s no real benefit gained from doing so – it doesn’t significantly affect the energy the plant has to grow stronger. There’s a chance it will just grow a bunch of new ones, and you’ll be pinching every day. You could just not pollinate them, and they’ll fall off automatically after a while.
