Easy Chilli Chicken 🌶️🔥 (Step-by-Step Recipe)

Craving a quick and delicious chilli chicken? Here’s a simple recipe you can follow 👇

Ingredients:
– 500g boneless chicken (cut into bite-sized pieces)
– 1 tsp chilli powder
– ½ tsp black or white pepper
– 1 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
– 1 egg
– 1 tsp cornflour
– 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
– Salt to taste
– 1 tsp vinegar or a squeeze of lemon

For the sauce:
– 1 tbsp oil
– 3–4 green chillies (chopped)
– 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
– 1 onion (cubed)
– 1 bell pepper/capsicum (cubed)
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 2 tbsp ketchup
– 2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
– 1 tbsp vinegar

Slurry:
– 2 tbsp cornflour + water (mix well)

Instructions:
1. In a bowl, add chicken, chilli powder, pepper, soy sauce, ginger-garlic paste, egg, cornflour, flour, salt, and vinegar/lemon juice. Mix well and marinate.
2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same pan, heat 1 tbsp oil. Add green chillies and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until fragrant.
4. Add onions and capsicum. Stir-fry until slightly tender but still crunchy.
5. Add soy sauce, ketchup, sweet chilli sauce, and vinegar. Mix well.
6. Pour in the cornflour slurry and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
7. Add the fried chicken and toss everything together until well coated.
8. Garnish with spring onions, sesame seeds, and a squeeze of lemon or a dash of vinegar.

Serve hot with fried rice 🍚🔥
