  1. Honestly a dehydrated meal is probably really good for meal prep too or bringing a lunch into work i might have to try it

  2. I love this!! Thanks for sharing! I’m super new to all of this, and haven’t bought a dehydrator yet. Just curious, how far ahead can you make it, and how do you store it until you need to take it backpacking? Thanks!

  3. Tip for next time to make it easier on yall- make your meals vegetarian and then add pemican. I bring pemmican pucks on my trips to add protein and fat, especially in the winter. Also great survival/emergency food. Stays good for 20ys without refrigeration by itself, 30ys with salt. Apologies for any typos, typing with my off hand (broken arm).

  4. Technically… it’s not sautéing (since that is a type of shallow frying). It’s steaming haha

    But great video!

  5. After you brown your ground beef put it in a colander and rinse with hot water to remove the fat.

  6. was just wondering but since you cut the fat out while cooking so it dehydrates better, how do you guys primarily get your daily fat needs while out on the trail? is it via the bars? or is it not as necessary to have fat since carbs are easier for the body to metabolize into energy?

  7. 🤭I started watching your videos because of two things 😂Your dehydrated food and your adventures 😂One thing is how long will dehydrated food last if per say I wanted to stock it in case of an emergency 😂like shortage of food You know like when you prepared for anything 😂

  8. guys help i’m going on my duke of Edinburgh trip on friday, how do i clean my pot after i use it? do i use my drinking water? cuz i don’t think we will have a stream near us at camp so i can’t wash it there

  9. Soy sauce makes a lot of sense, need to add the umami flavor somehow if you don't brown your onions and don't add meat! Looks delicious
