Hey y’all. Third season grower, but first in my new home. Southern California 10b. I fully expect to grow year round, albeit with some slow/dormant stages come winter. This jalapeño has acclimated well to its new pot but isn’t developing laterally, only up so far.
I’m sure we’re beyond tired of this question but, would you pull the early flowers off now to allow for more leafy growth? As well as topping it at the major fork. It’s developed an interesting “double or triple stem” at the top. Such a long season but I’m used to NY where you get one, maybe two good shots at it.
The other plant pictured is some Thai chili.
Thanks everyone!

You’re going to get mixed answers on this, but the reality it kind of doesn’t matter that much you know kind of helps watching time lapses of peppers and realizing they keep growing and branches regardless if they flower or not. The topping thing is highly debated but again they seem to grow just fine if you don’t, do it if you want a bushier plant.
