I’ve bit the bullet and spent way too much to follow Scotland at the World Cup.
The setup is actually 2 different systems.
A 40L tub feeding (mainly chilli seedlings):
– 4x Apache
– 4x Sivri Biber
– 3x Hungarian Hotwax
– 2x Padron
– 1x Beaver Dam
– 2x Basil Plants
An 80L bin feeding:
– 2x Chocolate Chillies
– 2x Red Peppers
– 3x Cucamelon (I got these in a seed starting subscription box I was gifted)
I’ve set the smaller seedling system up for 5 mins every 24 hours and the larger system for 15 mins every 24 hours.
I only had two days to test the water cycles so any advice on watering frequencies would be appreciated. I can pass that on to one of my neighbours who could change the settings.
And yeah, I know it wasn’t a very clever decision to start so many chilli plants a few weeks before going away for a month. I started my first batch this year in coco coir, under a grow light and on top of a heat mat. Something about that combination, potentially the relatively low room temperature of an older brick home, resulted in only the two chocolate chillies shown in the later image surviving. So I decided to start another batch a few weeks ago.
