Advice on my habanero pepper plants needed!!!

I have three orange habanero plants bought as starters from Lowe’s. Bought them all at the same time, a little over a month ago and the first two went in the ground in a 2’x2’ hole filled with black velvet mushroom compost and some granular fertilizer. The third went in a 5 gallon bucket filled with 50/50 peat moss and mushroom compost with the same fertilizer. I just side dressed the two in ground habaneros with some more granular fertilizer about a week ago and have been watering about every two weeks with Alaska fish fertilizer. The third plant I just up potted to a 25 gallon grow bag and gave it more fertilizer as well. I’m also in zone 8b and the heat has been intense and with the humidity here it’s been around 90-95 degrees over the last couple of weeks, with no rain for about a week now. My problem is the two in ground plants are looking rough and stunted compared to the one in the 25 gallon grow bag…by a long shot. And the grow bag plant has way healthier looking foliage and probably 50 peppers coming in already. The two in ground have a few peppers that looked like they were about to ripen and this morning they are turning yellow and looks like the plant might drop them. Trying to figure out where I went wrong with those two and see if they can be saved!!! Any help and advice would be appreciated!!!
