I tried a botttle of their garlic reaper sauce that I found at a hardware store and liked it for being so high on my heat tolerance, so i decided to just go in and try a bunch of them and order from their website.
got them lined up here from least to most heat.
the pickle I can’t say I noticed heat at all, they rate it a 5 on their scale but I thought it was less heat than a 4, which is the rating for the “tarnation” sauce…. buuut that could be due to me trying some hotter ones first, flavor was great, would work great on hot dogs, brats, anything you’d want to add a good hit of pickle flavor.
The tarnation sause was probably my second favorite of the bunch, about as hot as tobasco but the flavor was good enough I’d put this on anything, pizza, burgers, soups. It’s one I’ll be ordering again.
The other two goblin sauces are pretty decent as well, the green one is definitely a fruit forward kick, up there on the heat but again maybe slightly hotter than tobasco or Texas Pete but out of this world flavors, the pineapple really comes thru along with the black pepper, and the scorpion pepper is a nice little sting also.
The goblin blood noticeably hotter of the goblin sauces but a has a deep chipotle flavor that is Smokey but not overpowering on the smoke, like some of the ones that use that “liquid smoke” stuff are.
tastes more like real roasted peppers and is a good deep rich sauce great for tacos or other Mexican dishes with a heat that builds and got my eyes and nose to sweat a bit.
The honey badger and Thai were probably my two favorite of the bunch just because of how unique the flavors are, the honey is noticeable and sweet off the start but comes on strong spicy mustard with a good heat that builds thanks to the reapers. I can’t wait to try it with a soft pretzel or egg rolls.
the Thai sauce being another sweeter, almost teriyaki or Asian BBQ flavor I really could see myself adding to anything, the heat on both is higher but still not up to super hot levels I liked it a lot on pizza.
Reaper evil is straight up reaper sauce, it’s really the only flavor I pick up maybe a hint of the black pepper and vinegar but it’s one I’ll probably use to add to things more than directly on food. I could see it being great to add to chili, stew or soups, the heat is definitely up there, they give it a 9 and I would say yes, it’s probably right at my threshold, any hotter straight up and I’d be needing milk or something.
Over all I’m really happy with everything and will definitely go thru all of this.
