In-N-Out doesn’t need publicity. Whether it’s a classic Double-Double or a secret menu concoction, word has spread like a California wildfire about the insanely popular West Coast staple since its 1948 founding.
But there’s another California burger chain with a cult-like following of its own — and it was just crowned the best burger in the country by USA Today, so you know its acclaimed Double Char has to deliver.
The Habit Burger & Grill has tapped a Food Network icon,Jet Tila, someone you’ve likely seen on Guy Fieri‘s competition shows, to amp up its menu.

The James Beard-recognized chef, known for his acclaimed Thai cuisine and frequent TV appearances, has teamed up with The Habit to go toe to toe with In-N-Out as the burger industry’s new must-eat, something the more notable chain has never done to promote its famously simple menu.
Jet Tila is showcasing his signature Asian flair, presenting The Habit’s new Korean BBQ Char Burger. His “Korean Street Menu” is available now through September 15, 2026 and won’t be the only celeb-inspired selections as The Habit is reportedly allowing more famous faces to “bolster their menu” with eight-week residences.
Tila said, “With this menu, we pulled from the Korean street food flavors I loved eating as a kid: sweet heat, crispy texture, bold sauces and that perfect balance of savory, spicy and a little unexpected. Then we brought those flavors into Habit’s world with chargrilled burgers, crispy chicken, fresh produce and house-made ranch.”
